· THE SPIRIT OF THE EVENT ·

We are not a competition or a race. We offer the perfect opportunity to mount your horse and connect with fellow riders, immersing yourself in rural life, the traditions of the countryside, our customs, and our deep love for horses.

Our region of Aysén boasts a strong historical bond with horses, having been inhabited for just over 120 years. Until about 40 years ago, before the construction of the now-famous "Carretera Austral," everything was done on horseback.

Today, the countryside and its customs are gradually fading, but the essence of our Patagonia is still passed down through stories told on horseback—stories we long to hear, share, and see transcend.

We want the world to discover this remote piece of land—rugged and challenging, beautiful and breathtaking. Above all, we seek to preserve the culture of its people.

· WHAT TO EXPECT ·

· February 20 - Opening and welcome PM, equipment check-in.

· February 21, 22, and 23 - Trail riding

The event logistics are designed for you to have an authentic and rustic experience, but with quality. On the welcome day, you'll meet all the participants, share a good beer, receive the final instructions from the organizers, and hand over your belongings to the "ground logistics" staff, who will be in charge of transporting everything necessary in the organization's truck, so everyone can ride comfortably with only what they need for the day.

The horseback riding days start early: catching horses, saddling up, adjusting the gear, and getting ready to enjoy the trail, your horse, the community that forms, and a good lunch break beside your horse, as is typical in the countryside.

When you arrive at the camps, it’s time to play "truco", share stories, strum some guitar, and enjoy a good barbecue in a family atmosphere, where age doesn’t matter because you’re part of this community.

The environment is simple but genuine. Camaraderie reigns here. We want to offer you the chance to experience the countryside as it is, to share with others who live it every day, we want to enjoy it with you, and of course, to experience it on horseback!

· ABOUT THE ROUTE ·

Every year, we manage the opening of a different route, exclusive to the event. We traverse ranches, and farms that hold part of the history of the region's settlement, and their owners welcome us as hosts, becoming a part of Tierra de a Caballo.

Opening the routes involves many arrangements, and each year the challenge is different. This year, we are betting on a route in a new area, and we fully intend for this setting and its people to be part of our third edition—so we can experience an epic route once again!
